December 2004
President's Message By Chris Ulibarri As many of you know this will be my last chapter newsletter as there will be a new chapter president filling-in on January 1st 2005. It has been my pleasure to have been your Chapter President over that past year and have enjoyed the many challenges and achievements our chapter has done together. I appreciate all of you who have supported the board members and me. I still plan to be around and continue to support the chapter in every way I can. As a friendly reminder, our Annual Christmas Party will be held on December 18th at Fairway Oaks Country Club at 7:00pm. The cost will be $16.00 per person and will be much better than last years. It will be lots of fun with friends, good food, and a chapter planned video and presentations. Be ready to pay your membership dues at the Christmas Party unless you have already done so. Also plan to pay your hangar dues and end room dues (if applicable). Costs for them are the same as last year. There have been several chapter officers appointed by the board for 2005 and are as follows: Chapter President -- Sam Evans Chapter Vice President -- Charlotte Rhodes Chapter Treasurer -- Gray Bridwell Young Eagles Coordinator -- Bobby Nichols Also, there will be elections for chapter Secretary and two Director positions. Nominations for the positions are listed below. Write-in nominations will also be accepted. So, if you know of anyone you would like to nominate to the chapter in any of the positions we are electing, then please write them in but be sure they will accept if voted on: Secretary -- Arlis Wright -- Nominated Director -- Steve Krazer -- nominated Director -- Harold Cannon -- nominated Loren Henson -- nominated Thanks again for your hard work and dedication to our Chapter goals and look forward to the coming year 2005. ~Chris~

Carroll Bird's RV-4 Sells
The RV-4 built by the late Carroll Bird sold recently to a couple of guys from California. Reports from eyewitnesses say the fellows fueled-up, loaded over-gross, took-off and headed west. Thank goodness it was an RV!
